How to vote absentee by mail

  1. Download an application by clicking here: https://vote.warrencountyohio.gov/Voting/Absentee/Index Complete and mail the application to:
    • Warren County Board of Elections
    • 520 Justice Drive
    • Lebanon, Ohio 45036
    You may also drop off your completed request form to our office. We have a 24-hour secure drop box.
    We begin mailing ballots 29 days before the election. The USPS estimates that it will take 3-5 days for delivery.
  2. Receive your ballot in the mail and vote by following the included instructions that can be found by clicking here: https://www.ohiosos.gov/globalassets/elections/forms/12.pdfPDF Document instructions on receiving ballot
  3. Use the provided return envelope to send your ballot back to the Board of Elections. Remember to use a 1st class regular stamp. You can also drop off your or a family member’s ballot at our office. We have a 24-hour secure drop box.

Voters who do not have a printer can call 513-695-1358 to have an application mailed to them.

What is the deadline to request an absentee ballot?

The deadline is one week (Tuesday) before any election; at close of business.

Can I put more than one application in an envelope?

Yes.

Can I submit my ballot application by email?

Unfortunately, ballot applications cannot be accepted electronically except for voters who are overseas or part of the United States Military.

Can I return my ballot to the Board of Elections instead of using the post office?

Yes, there is a secure drop box outside of our office that can be accessed by the public 24 hours a day.

When will the results of the election be announced?

Tabulation of the votes will take place after 7:30PM on Election Night.

Voters can deposit any applications, ballots or documents in the outside drop box 24 hours a day.
